“This is the AI people were promised.”

Danny, founder

What was promised, and what we are building.

For years we were told AI would help us discover and learn, make the internet safer and cleaner, and take the fear out of everyday life. Then the version that arrived guessed when it should have checked, invented sources, trained on work that was not its to take, and asked for everything it could learn about you.

Prism is the other version. It is built as a tool for the benefit of humankind: for discovery and learning, for protecting and cleaning up the internet, and for less fear. Easier lives, not fewer jobs.

Discovery and learning

Lessons for every key stage, university-level knowledge, legal and government answers with the source they came from. Free to people. For schools, better and cheaper than what they pay for today, with the profit going back into schools.

A verified internet

Answers you can trust, safe for children and for anyone learning, researching or shopping. A browser that checks who is really behind a site and never tracks you.

Less fear

A guard that stops AI agents being hijacked without reading your private data. Security alerts that never see your data, coming.

Easier lives, not fewer jobs

Prism proposes. A person decides. The scientist, the specialist and the artist stay at the frontier, with the slow part done for them.

Man and machine

Each doing the part the other can't.

“Man and machine.”

Danny, founder

The machine holds what is known, checks it, finds it in an instant and shows its working. The person does what no machine can: sees what is not yet known, and makes what has never existed.

The new fact belongs to the scientist. The new creation belongs to the artist. Prism is there to make both of them faster and surer, not to stand in their place.

Nothing hidden

An answer you can check is worth more than an answer you have to trust.

“None of it is magic; all of it is explainable.”

Danny, founder

Every answer Prism gives carries the sources it rests on, and every step can be checked. Ask the same question twice and you get the same answer. When it isn't sure, it says so instead of guessing.

On the same general-knowledge test, it was wrong under 1% of the time against 61% for GPT-4o. In a sealed blind test it gave 0 made-up answers and 0 fabricated citations.

Small, not vast

Built in Britain, on one ordinary workstation.

“Many cores, not one big one.”

Danny, founder

No data centre. No GPU. A fraction of the energy: an estimated 8,000 times less per question than Google's own published figure for a median Gemini text prompt.

That is not a limitation we are working around. It is the point. An AI that needs a power station to run will always belong to whoever owns the power station. One that runs on an ordinary machine can belong to everyone.

Who pays

Free to people. Paid for by the businesses that benefit commercially.

“The best of capitalism paying for the best of socialism.”

Danny, founder

Everyone gets the same level of help, legal, learning or business, whoever they are and whatever they can afford. Companies that make money from Prism pay for it. People do not.

Money funds the work. It never comes before human dignity, and it never comes first.

Schools work differently, and on purpose. We make learning tools for schools better and cheaper than what they pay for today, built with teachers and schools, who shape the content with us alongside lessons mapped to the national curriculum. Every penny of profit from government and schools contracts goes back into the schools where it is needed most, the same pledge we make to the NHS. The aim is to give government money double the value, and to put it where it is needed and on what it is needed for. That ends the postcode lottery in education too. A free offline learning app for learners is in development.
